What is Direct Primary Care?
DPC is a membership-based healthcare model. You pay a flat monthly fee for unlimited access to your doctor — no insurance billing, no co-pays, no surprise bills. It's healthcare the way it should be: simple, transparent, and focused on you.
Do I still need health insurance?
DPC replaces your primary care — not your insurance. We recommend keeping a high-deductible or catastrophic plan for emergencies, surgeries, and hospital stays. Many patients find their overall healthcare costs drop significantly because they use DPC for preventive care and avoid expensive urgent care / ER visits.
What if I need a specialist?
Dr. Rismyhr will coordinate specialist referrals for you. Because he knows your full history and works directly with specialists (not through an insurance maze), referrals happen faster and with better communication.
Is there a contract or setup fee?
No. No contracts, no setup fees, no hidden costs. Cancel anytime. We believe if the care is good, you'll stay. And if it's not, we haven't earned your membership.
What does 24/7 access actually mean?
It means you can call, text, or video chat with Dr. Rismyhr outside of office hours. If your child spikes a fever at 10pm, you don't need the ER — you text your doctor. Real access, not a nurse hotline.
Do you accept insurance?
No — and that's by design. By removing insurance from the equation, Dr. Rismyhr answers to you, not to an insurance company. He can spend real time with you, order the tests you actually need, and practice medicine the way it should be practiced.
